Author Guidelines
If you have questions regarding the preparation of your camera-ready paper, send an email to the proceedings chairs:
Stefano Petrangeli (petrange AT adobe.com)
Haoliang Wang (hawang AT adobe.com)
General Rules
- Include all the modifications asked by the reviewers and shepherd (if any) in the camera-ready paper.
- Upload the camera-ready paper by the deadline listed here.
- Accompany each camera-ready paper with an author registration as detailed here.
Camera-Ready Paper Preparation
- Use the official templates.
- Include keywords, CCS concepts and ACM reference format on the first page.
- Do not number the pages and make sure the headings are correct and do not overlap (see below).
- Do not adjust the margins. Figures or tables cannot exceed the margins.
- Fonts: Do not substitute the fonts used in the templates. Both 9pt and 10pt font sizes are acceptable. Fonts must be embedded in the PDF. The templates use a font set (libertine), which needs to be installed before using the templates. Use Type 1 and TrueType fonts (scalable) only, not Type 3 (bitmapped). Sometimes font problems come from figures, so make sure to check them (one can check the fonts using Adobe Acrobat: Open PDF->File->Properties->Fonts).
- ACM rights text and bibliographic strip: Look out for an email from ACM shortly after the acceptance to fill the rights management form. Check your spam folder first and only then contact the proceedings chairs if you have not received the email from ACM. Before filling the rights management form, please check paper’s title and author name(s) in HotCRP. Update the information (if necessary) first in HotCRP, and only afterwards on the e-right form. The title on the form must match with the one in HotCRP.
- Look out for another email from ACM after filling the form. The contact author will be emailed the rights text and bibliographic strip with instructions to place within the paper - on the left bottom of the first page. The same information should also be autopopulated in the HotCRP system.
HotCRP Submission
- Finalize the camera-ready upload in the HotCRP system by uploading the:
- Final PDF
- Source files (all files including images used to create the final PDF - LaTeX or Word)
- ACM keywords and CCS concepts
- References
- XML file for the reproducibility badge (only for the papers in the Open Dataset and Software Track, and Challenges as well as the ones in the other tracks that have opted in).
Important note: Even though HotCRP marks some of this information as not mandatory, they are required.

- Submitting the presentation slides and video(s) by the deadline indicated below, and attending your session(s) during the conference week is mandatory as it is considered as a replacement for the physical attendance requirement at the conference.
- The submission deadline for all the materials is Sept. 14th.
- The presentation slides and videos will be accessible by only the conference participants during the conference. Unless the speaker explicitly opts out during the submission, the slides and videos will be publicly available after the conference.
- These guidelines apply to the research track, demo and industry track, open dataset and software track, challenges, MMVE, GameSys and NOSSDAV presentations. For the doctoral symposium presentations, refer to this page.
- If using PowerPoint, feel free to use this template.
What to Submit (Presenting in Person or Online)
- A short head-shot video (max three minutes, max 100 MB) explaining the key contributions and findings of the work.
- A long video (max 17 minutes, 400 MB) providing an in-depth description of the work (slides with narration and optionally head-shot video).
- The pdf (or pptx, max 50 MB) of the slides you used in the long video.
